Black and White Icelandics II

Everyone sees a lot of pictures of tan, wheaten, reddish, and/or gold Icelandics, and you can also find photos of black, white, and tan Icelandics  (tri colored). But you don’t see many black and whites.
What a shame,  because there is something so clean, crisp, and noble about dogs with this coloration. They look smart, and they are.

Here are a few photos of some of my favorite black and white dogs. The top two are of Kippa and her long haired son, Olli.
The bottom row shows Kippa’s sister, Vinlands Sigga, and her (and Kippa's) father, Alaskastadir Korpur (long hair). Since I have only long and short haired, black and white puppies in this current litter, there are few surprises as to what these dogs will look like. Just look at this family.

Many of the b&w Icelandics seem to be natural athletes and you can tell by looking at them.  Maybe it’s because they know that conformation judges love the fluffy lighter colored Icies, so there’s no sense going there when they can do other things so well!

Whatever the reason, I think they have a very special look and I hope it continues for many generations.
