Anything at Puppy Level is Fair Game

So put away your shoes, hang your plants, and pick up after yourself! Puppies will find anything and everything so for their safety and your sanity, be aware of what's at their level. Get on your hands and knees and check it out - you'd be surprised what's there for the taking, chewing, mouthing, eating...

Keeping Watch

There is an eagle's nest not too far from our property and Edgar keeps checking the sky when ever the puppies are out. He knows that's his job.

Black Dogs

Did you ever try to photograph a black dog? Believe me, it's not easy. Richard took a great shot of "Nod" yesterday. See the red in his coat?

Sunday Shots

The pups are still a little hesitant about this big expanse of grass, but I know it won't be long before they're out running in the field like the big dogs.
They're starting to eat a little ground puppy kibble mush (thank you Magic Bullet) and have moved to a bigger pen with more room to play (and poop). I don't know about other places in the US, but our newspapers here are getting smaller, and that sure makes a difference when you're using them to paper a puppy den!

Hello World!

Grass...trees...sun...toes. It's all new.

(That's not another puppy in the background. It's little Mojo, our friend's Havanese. He could care less about puppies.)

Quiet Times..for now

The pups have opened their eyes and are getting adjusted to the real world, so now I can start using flash on my camera again. But for now, here are some pictures of their new "best friends" - a tiger, a bear, and a ladybug. Funny how they each chose the one that is most like their own personality.

Edgar and Kippa

It suddenly occurred to me that some of you readers have never seen the dam and sire of this litter - and two of the three Icelandics which this blog is supposed to be about!

So here are mom and dad. Maybe not the best photos, but it gives you and idea of the wonderful mix of colors and coat lengths this breed is all about.

And I've added my contact email at the right. Now you know how to find me.

Catching up with the Boys

Blynken, the little female, now can see and hear - just like her brothers. Watch out world!
